Welcome 2011!!

Hello 2011!  I hope you bring nothing but joy to my doorstep for the next 362 days remaining that we must spend together!

This year will be like many others I have celebrated in the past.  There will be many blessings realized, seen, or felt, along with moments spent with family and friends.  I am praying this year brings much needed peace to so many issues that have been felt in the past.  I pray issues will be lessened, feelings of hardship diminished, and that all I know and care about will have the following ring true at the close of 2011:

May the most you want be the least you get and may the happiest days of the past be the saddest days of your future.
2010 closed out with the following wonderful occurrences:
  1. Getting the Fiesta Bowl tickets in the mail with a parking pass that was unexpected, but a sign of good times to come and the hope that my guy would make it to the game with me.
  2. Purchase of Lost, Season 6 for the bargain price of $20 at Target.  Another sign of good times to come for my guy to get here to have a marathon of a show he does not want to watch, but is not opposed to watching the show if he can fall asleep while I am massaging him while we have the show playing.
  3. Trying to get my guy from New York to Arizona for the New Years weekend.  Up til about 7am Arizona time on New Years Eve we were not sure if he was going to get onto the flight from JFK to San Diego, but thanks to his diligence, and his sister working for an airline he made it.  To see him in the airport on New Years Eve, 6:45pm was nothing but sheer delight.  I happen to believe that along with his great luck, the parking pass and Lost, Season 6 also indeed pointed to good fortune.
  4. Falling asleep before 2011 actually was rung in by the rest of the world while cuddling with my guy.
And the beginning of 2011 continued with other wonderful occurrences:
  1. Waking up cuddling with my guy.
  2. Having a wonderful sister-in-law willing to watch the kids while we attended the Fiesta Bowl game.
  3. Attending my first college football game, and my first bowl game with my guy by going to the Fiesta Bowl.  While UConn did not win, we still had a good time.  It was just exciting to be at a game with him, enjoying the festivities.
So, welcome 2011.  I hope we will always be the best of friends as we are stuck with each other for a while.  I hope the joys you bring to my life and the lives of those I know is plentiful, and that you continue to be as great as you have been for the past 3 days!
